Nuestra historia
Granville Biomedical es una empresa canadiense de tecnología sanitaria que se especializa en el diseño de modelos anatómicos de salud pélvica para abordar la falta de oportunidades prácticas de enseñanza y aprendizaje en la salud de la mujer. Las cofundadoras, Christine Goudie y Crystal Northcott, se conocieron en 2018 durante una misión de extensión médica a Bangladesh, donde identificaron una brecha común en la educación sobre la salud de las mujeres en todo el mundo.
Hasta la fecha, el modelo insignia de salud pélvica de la compañía, pendiente de patente, “Venus”, se ha distribuido en 18 países, abarcando 5 continentes y es utilizado por educadores de atención médica, profesionales de la salud pélvica, programas de partería/doula y defensores de la salud sexual para promover la salud de las mujeres en una escala global.
Para abordar la falta de innovación en dispositivos médicos dentro de la salud de la mujer, el equipo de Granville Biomedical también ha participado en la investigación, el desarrollo y la validación de un novedoso espéculo, así como de una serie de hisopos biocompatibles de grado médico, que incluye el diseño de un novedoso Dispositivo de examen pélvico para reemplazar las herramientas de procedimiento tradicionales en la recolección de células cervicales.
