Unsere Geschichte
Granville Biomedical ist ein kanadisches Gesundheitstechnologieunternehmen, das sich auf die Entwicklung anatomischer Beckengesundheitsmodelle spezialisiert hat, um dem Mangel an praktischen Lehr- und Lernmöglichkeiten im Bereich der Frauengesundheit entgegenzuwirken. Die Mitbegründerinnen Christine Goudie und Crystal Northcott trafen sich 2018 während einer medizinischen Outreach-Mission in Bangladesch, wo sie eine gemeinsame Lücke in der Gesundheitserziehung von Frauen auf der ganzen Welt identifizierten.
Bis heute wurde das zum Patent angemeldete Vorzeigemodell des Unternehmens für die Beckengesundheit „Venus“ in 18 Ländern auf 5 Kontinenten vertrieben und wird von Gesundheitspädagogen, Beckengesundheitspraktikern, Hebammen/Doula-Programmen und Befürwortern der sexuellen Gesundheit eingesetzt, um die Gesundheit von Frauen voranzutreiben eine globale Skala.
Um dem Mangel an Innovationen bei medizinischen Geräten im Bereich der Frauengesundheit entgegenzuwirken, war das Team von Granville Biomedical auch an der Forschung, Entwicklung und Validierung eines neuartigen Spekulums sowie einer Reihe biokompatibler medizinischer Abstrichtupfer beteiligt, wozu auch das Design eines neuartigen Produkts gehört Beckenuntersuchungsgerät als Ersatz für herkömmliche Verfahrensinstrumente bei der Entnahme von Gebärmutterhalszellen.
